Our Glades
Kaizen Has a New Home at The Glades!

Kaizen, our much-loved Asian-inspired restaurant, has officially moved! We sat down with Kaizen’s owner, Michael Cheung, to hear all about the move and the vision behind the stunning new space.

Now nestled on the Restaurant Terrace, this new spot brings a fresh energy, stunning views of Queens Garden Park, and the same mouth-watering menu that’s made Kaizen a local favourite.

Whether you’re a loyal regular or a curious newcomer, it’s the perfect time to (re)discover what makes Kaizen so special.

A New Chapter, Rooted in Family and Flavour

We sat down with Kaizen’s owner, Michael Cheung, to hear all about the move and the vision behind the stunning new space.

“After several years inside The Glades, I realised that to truly grow and evolve, Kaizen needed a new home. Queen’s Garden offered the perfect opportunity – a fresh canvas to bring my vision to life. My goal was to create something that instantly delivers a sense of wonder the moment guests walk in, while preserving the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that defines Kaizen. Most importantly, it had to feel like home – a place where every generation, from children to grandparents, can come together, share great food, and make lasting memories.”

Designed with Soul (and Sustainability)

The new Kaizen isn’t just a restaurant – it’s a carefully curated experience. The interiors have been thoughtfully designed to strike a balance between warmth, elegance, and sustainability. Michael and his team brought in a fresh design vision while keeping sustainability at the core. Many of the fixtures, furniture, and kitchen pieces have been given a second life – blending conscious choices with a stylish, modern look.

“Designing the new Kaizen was a chance to be both creative and conscious. I reused as much as possible – from furniture to fixtures – to reduce waste and give the space a sense of history and character. It was important to me to create a restaurant that feels warm and personal – a place where families can relax, children can enjoy their first Kaizen experience, and everyone feels part of something special.” Michael said.

The Menu You Love – with Fresh Twists

Of course, Kaizen’s new home comes with the same dedication to flavour and quality that made it a staple at The Glades and there are some exciting new additions to discover, too.

From freshly made sushi and comforting noodle bowls to shareable plates designed to bring people together, the menu is a beautiful balance of the familiar and the new.

“We’ve kept the dishes our regulars love, while introducing new flavours for people to discover,” said Michael. “I’ve always believed food should bring people together, so the menu is designed with that in mind – whether it’s children trying sushi for the first time, parents sharing plates, or grandparents enjoying a comforting bowl of noodles.”

Every Occasion, Beautifully Covered

Kaizen’s new space adapts to every kind of moment. Whether you’re planning a romantic lunch, a family dinner, a birthday celebration or a coffee and catch-up, there’s a seat at the table for you.

Thanks to the folding front doors, guests can also enjoy a semi-alfresco dining experience when the sun’s out – complete with gorgeous park views and a refreshing drink in hand.

Kaizen is open now at The Glades’ Restaurant Terrace.
Come for the food, stay for the views, and soak up the atmosphere of this exciting new chapter.
