Here are the looks we’re excited about this autumn, and how you can try them out!
As the nights draw in and the air gets a little cooler, autumn isn’t just about switching up your jumper. It’s the perfect time to refresh your makeup look – richer tones, soft styles, bold statements, and all the bits in between that make you feel great.

This season is all about warmth. Think caramel, bronze, burnt orange colours that echo autumn leaves and cosy cafés. The glowing skin look continues, but with a softer edge: light-to‐medium coverage so you still see you, just more polished.
Pro tips:
- Visit beauty counters at stores like MAC or Boots, and test out warm bronzers or cream blushers.
- For glow, look for highlighters with airy or satin finishes rather than heavy shimmer.

Eyeliner’s mood this autumn: moody, smudged, relaxed. Black or dark liner is still in, but less sharp, more diffused – a little mess, a lot of character. It’s inspired by nostalgia (90s + early 2000s), and helps give a darker edge without being too heavy.
Tips for trying it:
- Buy eyeliners that are easy to smudge, or use a tiny brush with shadow to soften lines.
- Try doing the liner both on the lash line and the waterline, then gently smudge the edges.

“Wine-stained” lips, berries, deep plum shades are going to be showing up everywhere. Whether you go matte or gloss, strong lip colour is making a comeback. The trick is to balance it: keep the rest of your makeup simpler so your lips do the talking.

As bold colours return, there’s also a counter trend: soft skin that looks healthy but not overly made up, and brows that are less sculpted. Think softly brushed brows, natural shape, minimal fill. Skin finishes that blur imperfections rather than hide everything under matte powder are big.
How to achieve it:
- Try BB creams, tinted moisturisers or light-coverage foundations.
- Use setting sprays that blur rather than mattify.

If you want a little glam without being full-on, this trend is for you. A touch of shimmer gold, bronze, silver on eyelids, or a highlight in the inner corner of the eye can brighten your look. It’s a small accent, but big effect.
