I’m Juliet, The Glades’ resident Personal Stylist, welcome to the first in the series of Style Notes. I’ll be bringing you monthly blogs throughout the year on the season’s top trends and how to wear them. It may be freezing outside but the inspiration for this season is all ice-cream hues, sugary-sweet macaroon shades and candyfloss prettiness. Don’t wait until the sun shines to wear these mood-enhancing shades. I’m loving the pastels which have hit the high street since we first saw them on the catwalks at Victoria Beckham and Calvin Klein who had everything from baby doll dresses to knitwear in a pretty pastel palette.

The stand-out store for pastels right now has to be Oasis with their Pantone range. Designed to “Colour You Happy” (something I always try to achieve with my clients) the range is full of yummy biker jacket in beautiful pinks and lilacs, jumpers in greens and blues and easy-to-wear jeans. I would wear the biker jacket with a fluid dress to look totally effortless.
Aldo have great shoes and accessories that are bang on-trend. Their cute rubber sandals will go with summer dresses and culottes but my absolute favourites are the white stilettos with a floral motif. They would look so chic teamed with a suit for a wedding.
The thing I hear the most about pastels is that people think pale colours wash them out but anyone can embrace these beautiful colours; it’s just a matter of finding the right tone for you. I offer free colour consultations to all my clients so if you’re not sure how to rock this trend why not book in for an appointment? Click here for more info and enjoy my top 5 below:
