Operations Manager at The Glades scoops prestigious industry accolade

Success at Sceptre Awards.

An operations manager at The Glades Shopping centre has been named as the recipient of the coveted Operations Manager of the Year gong at the 2017 Sceptre Awards, just a year into the role.
Lee Holland – who stepped up to the position of operations manager 12 months ago after 17 years in the business – was awarded the title at the ceremony, which recognises best practice and stand-out people in the shopping centre industry.
The panel of judges were looking for an exceptional leader, with proven success in all aspects of planning and procurement, contribution and successful delivery of customer service and sustainability initiatives. Other key criteria included efficient management of suppliers to ensure value for money and the smooth running of the centre’s systems.
Lee was overjoyed to have his hard work acknowledged on an industry-wide scale. His varied role involves working closely with the technical, security and finance teams, liaising with letting agents, making sure visitors have a pleasant experience at the centre and lots more.
He commented: “This is a phenomenal achievement in my career and for the team at The Glades too. We all work incredibly hard to make sure the centre runs to the highest standards and it’s certainly paid off. To be recognised by the Sceptre Awards is a fantastic seal of approval and I’m truly honoured.”
